The Samsung Galaxy S24 series could launch early next year; Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ may get Deca-Core Exynos SoC

With Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series leaked, there are now hints about the launch date. Unlike this year’s Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 sales in South Korea, Samsung is expected to hold its Galaxy Unpacked event in the US next year. Samsung is expected to announce a new premium flagship that will replace the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra models launched earlier this year. There is also more information about the new Exynos 2400 processor that Samsung showed off a few weeks ago and is expected to power two Galaxy S24 models this year.


According to SEDaily, Samsung will continue regular sales in the US for the Galaxy S24 series next year. The source said that the location of the launch event will be just an hour away from Apple’s Cupertino headquarters. As for the timeline, the source said it will be announced “early next year,” suggesting a January 2024 launch.

The larger Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ models are expected to be available in some markets with an Exynos SoC. While others may get the latest Qualcomm chipset, which is expected to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. More information about the recently released Samsung Exynos 2400 SoC has also been leaked.


Tipster Ice Universe has shared a screenshot from a Geekbench test of the upcoming Galaxy S24+. Which appeared on the benchmarking website detailing the processor architecture. Called the Samsung SM-S926B, the smartphone scored 2,067 points and 6,520 points in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.

As a result, SoCs resemble dozens of core architectures. The main Cortex-X4 core is clocked at 3.21 GHz. Meanwhile, of the five Cortex-A720 performance cores, two are clocked at 2.9 GHz and three at 2.6 GHz. Finally, there are four Cortex-A520 efficiency cores each clocked at 1.95 GHz.
There is also new information about the next generation Exynos 2500 SoC. Tipster @OreXda has suggested that the Exynos 2500 will also have a deca-core architecture. Different from the octa-core architecture for the same SoC that was shared earlier.
